About

My painting is defined by the search for freedom on behalf of mind, soul, and consciousness. A search that seeks to move beyond the constraints of the human condition and manifest itself in the portraits and landscapes I have painted. Each work is a new representation of the eternal dialect, and my process is an ongoing conversation with opposition: joy-pain, gratitude-loss, timelessness-transience, yin-yang.

I’ve been a professional artist since 1988: an identity that I have retained despite having lived in places as disparate as Romania, Lithuania, Washington D.C., Chicago, Belgium, Jackson Hole. These diverse environments have influenced my style and my subject matter, and this pattern continues to evolve as I draw inspiration from further travels around the globe. Today I work from my studio in Jackson Hole, Wyoming - creating art among nature, balancing the turmoil of memory against the stillness of the present moment. I am available for commissioned work upon request.
